Show people you care, George, or we’ll lose the election: Tory peer blasts Osborne’s ‘lack of concern’ for ordinary voters in recession | Mail Online

George Osborne’s apparent lack of concern for ordinary people struggling in the recession threatens to hand victory to Ed Miliband at the next Election, Tory peer Michael Ashcroft claims.

Lord Ashcroft, former deputy Conservative chairman, says many Tory MPs have doubts about the Government’s economic policy.

And he says Mr Osborne ‘seems indifferent to the things that keep people awake at night’ and he and David Cameron will face ‘trouble at the mill’ from their own MPs and voters if this week’s Budget is a flop.
